Cancun a Beautiful and Relaxing Destination

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011

I must say that Cancun has proven to be the most spectacular beach destination vacations. Everything we wanted was right at hand, and the staff at the hotel couldn’t possibly have been any kinder. The hotel was just right for us, as well. We’re little older now, and while a trip to Cancun in our twenties would absolutely have involved tequila shots until daylight, this trip was a little more sensible. Not that we didn’t have as much fun, just a different, more mature and responsible fun this time around. Cancun is gorgeous, as if the entire country of Mexico. There was so much to do, and so many day trips and excursions, organized by the hotel activities staff, we couldn’t possibly have fit them all in. If you are looking for a great trip, try Cancun. You won’t be sorry, I can promise you that. Try starting with this website, www.cancunhotels.com. It’s a great source of info for your trip.

Edison Hotel: Once the Home for Edison Theatre

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

While reading a Edison Hotel New York review I came to know that the once very famous Edison theatre was located in the Edison hotel. The theatre kept shutting down and reappearing for more than 5 decades. It was a big theater with more than 500 seats. When it closed down intermediately, it was converted to a ballroom for the Edison hotel. However, it got converted into a theatre once again until its owner died. After that it was once again and this time for good, converted into the ballroom. The ballroom is indeed a spectacular feature of the Edison which in itself in pretty spectacular. It is reminiscent of the New York City of old and has maintained most of the designs and architecture of the old. Though the hotel has obviously advanced technically with time, a conscious effort has been made to keep it connected with history and not altering the design and architecture much wh ile renovating and modernizing it.

Packing Your Bags when Going to Tagaytay Resorts

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

In order to make sure that your Tagaytay trip stays stress free, you will need to make sure that you bring all the right things with you. Don’t worry though because it won’t probably be as much as you think.

One thing that you need to pack is the right set of clothes. If you’re going there to swim your heart out, then you might want to bring more than one swimsuit.

One thing that you don’t need to bring though is too many toiletries and food. Tagaytay resorts are well known for being complete. A lot of them have buffet tables especially for their customers. They are also near the best restaurants in the city. When it comes to the toiletries, a lot of resorts also offer them as giveaways to guests. This is why these are the best types of resorts to go to if you want a hassle free vacation.

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

I am going to go on a vacation soon and I have to plan a lot of things, like where it is that I am going and what flight I should get and how many nights I plan to stay in whatever hotel room. I do not have any idea right now. I am looking to figure out what the best way to book hotel rooms is right now. I am not sure where, but I just want to know about the process and that kind of stuff. I have heard there is a great site on the internet that will help you find any room and book it for you while finding you the best rate, but I am not sure what that site is. If anybody can help me find it, I would be very thankful. I am just looking for all kinds of advice right now because I am a total mess. Who knew that planning a vacation would be so difficult? I did not.

The Best of the Tower Beverly Hills Los Angeles

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

I haven’t been to Los Angeles, but I will be there in a few days. I was made to choose any city that I would want to visit as part of package trip that I won in a company raffle promo. Of course, I chose Los Angeles because it is where I might spot some celebrities and see the places where any person would die to visit. Since I was given the liberty to choose the hotel as well, I did not hesitate to opt for the The Tower Beverley Hills Los Angeles. It is just about ten minutes from the LA Airport and is located in an area where I can just spend the day walking around the beautiful and famous sites like Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, and the Universal Studios. I have made an itinerary of the places I would go to in LA and the list is quite long.

A Beautiful Vacation

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

We searched online for some deals on Manila hotels when we choose to go there on our 3 week vacation last month. We found so many good deals and it was a hard time to decided which one we wanted to go with. We decided on a hotel that was located at the heart of Manila and had a wonderful view of the city and the river! The staff were all very kind and very helpful to us! They even would help us with ideas on where to go and the best way to get there. The best part of our trip was when we went to Fort Santiago which is a Museum and public park that was built at the turn of the 17th century to be a stone fortress. It really was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I cannot wait until we get the chance to go back and see Manila again!

Canada, Eh?

Monday, June 28th, 2010

It has never been on my list of travel destinations, nor has it really interested me until now, but I have recently been reading about some breathtaking nature spots there and really want to start exploring. I think Vancouver British Columbia would be a good start (since I live in Seattle and it’s close) and then I would just keep heading east until I get to Nova Scotia or something. Vancouver Hotels have a great reputation for being luxurious and very cosmopolitan, which is nice, but I think once I head into the wilderness type areas, I would look for some more down to earth acommodation. Has anyone ever traveled across Canada, and if so, can you recommend some can’t-miss hot spots? Thanks!

I’ve spent the last 10 years traveling around the world to some pretty exotic places…I always had a list of travel destinations–mostly in Asia and Europe–and have just about checked off the majority of cities and countries I wanted to visit. Now that I am settling down a bit more at home (don’t get me wrong–I’m still a traveller at heart) I feel like exploring some cities closer to home, or a bit more “normal” than exotic rainforest locations and high altitude adventure spots, etc. Strangely enough, I have an urge to just head up north a bit to good ol’ Canada!
