I have always been a big fan of Ford Broncos. My first truck was a Bronco, and it lasted me such a long time and I have some really great memories of that car. However, cover’s not worth it when you’re getting a bad deal. Get coverage that is tailored to you and not bleeding you dry for your brand new motor – shop around.
- If you’ve bought a car from a mate or from a private ad and you’ll be happy if it lasts you 2 years, then yup, breakdown cover is pretty important. You’ve got yourself a car that will definitely get you from A to B but may need a helping hand every now and again.
- If you’re skint, look into it anyway, you might be able to get a deal that covers weekends only or work only – whenever you use your car most.
- If you are really skint and not one to be on the safe side, then don’t worry about it, but be prepared to roll your sleeves up and push at least once in the next few years. Or cut your losses and sell it to we buy any damaged car
- If you commute a lot, then break down might save your ass. If you drive cross country, there’s an extra reason right there, pushing up and over remote hilly pastures is not an easy job and frankly not worth it in our (humble) opinion.
- If you are driving the car off a dealership lot, you’ve not done your job if you’ve paid extra for cover. It’s not called a DEALership for nothing. Barter for some sort of assistance so the car can be picked up and driven straight back to them if it breaks down or has any malfunctions within a certain mileage or time span.
- If you treat your car really well; regular oil changes, wheel rotation and tune ups with a reputable mechanic then this will hopefully put a delay on any breakdowns and cost you a lot less money in the long run. Damaged cars will cost you a lot more in the long run, breakdown cover or not.
